Love Is The Key That Unlocks The Door Which Leads To Ultimate Reality

"There is nothing, except a tragic death wish, to prevent us from reordering our priorities, so that the pursuit of peace will take precedence over the pursuit of war. There is nothing to keep us from molding a recalcitrant status quo with bruised hands until we have fashioned it into a brotherhood."

I love that you posted this. I started to have a heated argument with my brother in law about MLK jr.s importance. He spouted everything I never wanted to hear in my home. I started to just back down because I wanted to keep the peace between brothers (my husband and my brother) but I could not. I love my brother in law but I hate the fact that stupidity and hatred still abounds. It shook me, but I feel like the younger generation sees less color boundaries. Obviously, it's no where near perfect but to see that my students are more tolerant than my 26 year old brother in law made me sigh with relief, with love and with happiness.

Yes. I think you are right about the younger generation seeing less color boundaries. Good for you for speaking up.

We, as white people, should have anti-racism as our priority, just as all men should be feminists. As long as there are people suffering, we, who have enjoyed privileges simply because of our skin color, should will ourselves to speak out!
